Remote Line Concentrator [RLC] can be connected to any local exchange which supports V5.2 interface. The product Remote Line Concentrator is provided by Bharat Electronics. Remote Line Concentrator can be connected to the Main Switch or Remote Switch Unit [RSU]. Remote Line Concentrator provides a transparent link between the subscriber and the local exchange. All the administrative functions, call processing , numbering plan, subscriber features, charging, billing and traffic administration functions for the AN terminated subscribers are performed by the local exchange. Remote Line Connector [RLC] is a 120-poprt access node based on V5.2 access protocol, that caters to 120 POTS or 56 ISDN or a mix of both types of subscribers, and connects to the Local Exchange [LE] by a maximum of four digital trunks.
